The Patriot Z-Flap Non-Contact SensingEdge is manufactured to work with Rolling Steel and Sectional Doors. The system consists of a Control Unit, Emitter Eye and a Receiver Eye which simply mounts into a flexible molded Z-Flap mounting bracket made of Dupont Hytrel®. The Z-Flaps are mounted to the bottom of the door and extend below the leading edge of the door, thus providing an invisible infrared beam of protection. If the beam is blocked by an object or person below the door, the control unit signals the door operator to stop and/or reverse.
